Net Profit Before Tax

Net Profit before tax: The amount of value added or lost in a business during a specific operating period of time without regard to whether cash was actually received or paid out. It is sometimes referred to as the bottom line and is sometimes called pre-tax income or pre-tax earnings.  It is calculated by subtracting a company’s total expenses from total revenue, before taxes, showing what the company has earned (or lost) in a given period of time before paying taxes.
